A shift full of crazed meth addicts, drunk drivers, crooks, hostile families, and idiot kids out for a good time are all in a day’s work. And, that’s just a Friday Night.
A famous law enforcement saying is “When you think of quitting, remember why you started”. Because most people would quit. This is why law enforcement men and women are heroes. They never give up.
And, they likely decided on their career with the idea to protect our rights. However, chances are they have bad days just like the rest of us.
If we wonder how they do it all, there are probably days they wonder, too.
Here are some of the best Law Enforcement quotes to keep our favorite folks in blue motivated on even the worst of days.
1. Abel Hermant
“In keeping people straight, principle is not as powerful as a policeman.”
Monsieur Hermant was a French Author and social commentator. He famously remarked on society’s issues well before their time.
Back in 1887, he published musings about homosexuality in the Military. Always a staunch supporter of law enforcement, he viewed them as maintaining social order among those with no principle.
And, he came up with one of our favorite law enforcement quotes!
2. David A. Clarke, Jr.
“Stand by the side of law enforcement, the men and women who are often the only semblance of hope and justice in the crime
David A. Clark, Jr. was a much-celebrated Sheriff of Milwaukee county between 2002 and 2017.

Saxby Chambliss was both a Representative and a Senator for the state of Georgia between 1995 and 2013. Famously, he was the chair of the Intelligence committee on September 11, 2001.
And, his words could not be truer today.
5. Keith Richards
“I’ve never had a problem with drugs. I’ve had problems with the police.”

Though we probably know the answer, the truth is clear that even billionaire celebrities can’t escape law enforcement.
6. Antonio Villaraigosa
“Let me be clear – no one is above the law. Not a politician, not a priest, not a criminal, not a police officer. We are all accountable for our actions.”

Still active today in California politics, he clearly believes laws are for everyone.

This famous Minnesota politician was a Democrat. Though he strongly supported law enforcement, he well knew public opinion played a role in crime and punishment.

And, when they don’t, it’s not the fault of the laws or those who sustain them.
11. Sidney Sheldon
“My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place – police, firefighters and members of our armed forces.”
The famous author of books, plays, and movies offers up one of his best sentences. Where other wordsmiths may tip their hat to Hemingway, his heroes are those among us.
12. Dudley Moore

Our favorite “Arthur” nailed all of us on this one. We never see a pack of cars slow down quicker than catching a glimpse of a police car anywhere close.

The longest-serving director of the FBI ever probably learned this the same way every law enforcement officer does. Experience.

Law Enforcement Quotes from the Horse’s Mouth
Though we often see law enforcement quotes as inspiring tactical patches custom wearing serious police officers, they have their funny side, too.
So, here’s a few law enforcement quotes taken right from law enforcement’s mouth:
“If you run from me, you’ll just go to jail tired.”
“We used to have speeding ticket quotas. Now we can write as many as we want.”
“Handcuffs too tight? They’ll stretch out after you wear them for awhile.”
